Does animated clip art work in a MS Word Document?

Hi, Can you tell me if an animated clip can be inserted in a word document?
If so will the animated portion actually work? I know the clip art will work
in PowerPoint but just trying to determine if it works in MS Word.

Thanks

You can insert an animated clipart object into Word, but the animation
won't work. Word will show the first frame of the animation as the
clipart object.

Thanks...I thought that is how it worked but couldn't find anything in the
help section to support.

When right clicking on the clip, there used to be an "insert" command. That
was the only way the animation would work; it would not work when copying.
My question is, what happened to "insert"? There seems to be no answer
anywhere.

You said it works in PowerPoint, though? I'll try that instead. Thanx for
the tip!!!

Hi Melody,

There hasn't been a feature in Word to support
animations within the document except for .AVI files.
(i.e. not animated GIFs). The right click=>Insert
command in the Clip Organizer may be what you're
recalling?
