CLIP ART AND INSERT

Word 2007 - page size A5 (in the landscape position cut in half - creates 2
A5 pages base 5.5 wide X 8.5 hi).

Ready to read a good picture? 2 white A5 pages and now... "INSERT TAB" put
in the work. *First - using the "line" command, I place lines in various
places on both pages - (draw lines any where you want... lines, lines in any
direction) - clear?

Second part - add 1(one) clip art picture to each page - clear?

Third step... what do I have? Click preview (I see the lines and the clip
art...: I am good and happy; it's all there in the position I want. Me happy.

PROBLEM - CLICK PRINT: Only the "clip art" appears. Remove the... clip art:
Now all the lines I drew... appear (yes the line are there)! Hence the
search words - "clip art and insert" (one or the other, but not both).

What have I done?
1) Format - Used the position button.
2) Format -Used text wrapping
3) Changed the clip art file extension to - jpeg, bitmap - paint.

*Note - I cannot use any box inserts due to... this prevents "mail merger"
from working - cannot-put-mail merge... fields "in" a draw box choice.
Hence, why I must draw lines only.

10/27/2009 - I solved my own problem. Ready? I - solved my problem(s).
It has been a good... a real good month trying to solve 2 problems.

1) Mail Merge answer is - create data link enables... "rules button", "next
record" field on second page only before the address field... bingo
(different address on different letter)!

2) Problem - Clip art or lines drawn will show in preview but will not print
both.

Solution - is, "text box" (annual quote). Text Box creates a black line box.

Click - clip art & insert lines will print.

Note - Mail Merge mistake I made - double Text Box. I create a black line
box to outline the postcard. I put another text box inside this text box -
double text box. I wanted to create a border for the addresses. My mistake, I
then tried to put the <<address>> field inside now... a double stack of text
box... got an error message. You can only use 1(text box).
