Does Mcafee Virus Scan any way cause Outlook to crash?

I just installed Mcafee and now everytime I open Outlook my computer shuts
down.

MY COMPUTER HAS TOTALLY CRASHED!! EVEN AFTER UNINSTALLING MCAFEE , CRASHES
10 TENS AFTER, THEN DEFRAMENTING, AND THEN USING QUICK RESTORE , IT DOESN'T
EVEN GO PAST ASKING IF I WANT TO USE SAFE MODE NOW! I AM CURRENTLY AT THE
LIBRARY CHECKING EMAILS AND WILL LOOK AT UPDATES TO MY REPLY

TIme to get out the Windows installation CD and perform a repair install,
perhaps.
