Does the administrator have to install downloaded fonts?

I am one of the users on a home computer. There are children who use my user
id and so i am not designated as the administrator. I am working on a web
page in publisher 2003. I have downloaded some free fonts. I am able to
install the fonts by using the control panel>fonts>install new font> method.
However, when I shut down the computer and later restart, the fonts are
listed as "missing" from the fonts list in both publisher and word. They are
gone from the font folder but still remain as files on my computer. I can
reinstall but it makes no difference.
I have searched everywhere i can think of. If someone can help, I would be
grateful.

Carey,
Thanks for the address. For some reason i am having trouble with my outlook
express though. I went to my sister's house and used her outlook express and
she was having the same problem. We must just not be set up for the
newsgroups. I am not sure how to do that either.
Anyway, i have been unsuccessful in finding the answer to my question. If
you, or anyone else have some more tips, pleeeeease let me know.
Thanks
cinnyme
