Does Windows XP interfer with Publisher 2000?

S

Stacey

I used to be able to create brochures in Publisher 2000.
However, since we have gotten a new computer with Windows
XP Publisher 2000 will not let me create anything but a
publication. Any suggestions? Could it be something
else?

There is no issue with Windows XP and Publisher 2000.

When you installed Publisher 2000 did you select all the necessary options?

I had trouble using Publisher with XP until I used XP's compatability option
under the Help & Support menu...works great now.

My Publisher came on a Microsoft Office 2000 CD. I
didn't get an prompt to select the necessary options on
either disk one or two.

I can right-click all Publishers before 2002 and get the compatibility tab. I am
working with the Beta so I can't tell you about 2002, I right-click the icon and
there is no compatibility tab.

I have the retail 2002 version and it has the
compatibility tab.

All versions of Publisher run flawlessly under XP without the need for any
form of 'compatibility'.

Yes. I select the wizard templates that I wanted to
install and but they didn't. All I know is that when I
had Windows 2000 my Publisher 2000 worked fine. Now that
I have XP my Publisher doesn't work right.

I think you mean "any form of 'compatibility mode'"
And all versions of Publisher apparently don't run flawlessly under Windows
XP if your name is Stacey...

Hmmm...
