'dots' around the letters in word art

Puzzled using Publisher

When writing in a word art box in Publisher 2003 I have 'dots' appearing,
usually above, each letter which appear when printed. I'm sure I didn't have
them originally and cannot see where to 'turn off' this feature. Any ideas
what they are and where to control them?

All WordArt shapes? What font are you using? Check out your printer driver, maybe
time for an upgrade. In the View drop down, clear Boundaries and Guides, do the dots
still print?

Thanks for the help but I still have very small dots above each letter in the
wordart box. They are not too obvious when printing on an A4 sheet but i do
a lot of banners and posters for a primary school and then they are
c=obvious, anyone have any ideas? Thanks
