double-click in between two rows or two columns

How to avoid cursor jumping around to different positions
when I double-click in between two rows or two column ?

With any cell selected, if you doubleclick the left border it will take you to
the leftmost cell of that row, and likewise the top border will take you to the
topmost row - This is by design. Don't know that you can turn it off I'm
afraid.
