Double cursor, w/i drawing object, text box

Hi,

The edition of word that I am using (MS Word 2002 SP3) exhibits some
odd behaviour. The behaviour is as follow:

I have inserted a drawing by insert/drawing/New Drawing
this inserts a new drawing canvas into word. I then draw a picture and
add a text box to it and type something in the text box. I then copy
that text box and past it. I then copy the text box again and paste
again and then the problem appears when I go to type something in the
text box - I get a cursor flashing in both text boxes (the original and
the last pasted one). Now you may wonder why I wanted to copy the text
box multiple times?? Well, it was to save time on having to format it
every time....
Now, even when I have deleted the text boxes the cursors are still
fashing in the same positions as if the text boxes are still there!
Weird, hah?

Hope you can help.

Cheers,

Alex

Hi Alex,

Very weird, but problems of this kind with textboxes are not unheard of,
especially when copying and pasting within a document. The problems are
also difficult to get rid of.

My first suggestion would be to try saving to HTM format, close, re-open
and see if things haven't settled down a bit.
