double full shadow

I like to make a double full surround shadow on a text. So it looks that the
text is displayed 3 times, each time a little bit smaller and in another
color.
I tried Word-Art but with this it is only possible to make a shadow at 2
sides of the text not all around.
Any ideas?

Create the WordArt, copy, paste special as a wmf, ungroup, delete the background,
copy again, paste two times. You now have 3. Right-click the object, click format
autoshape(or object), size tab, resize how many percent you desire. You can center
the objects and re-color them.

Sound like a good tip, but I'm not able to ungroup the object that was
pasted as WMF, there is no un-group (rectangular with corners) symbol?

So the next step, to re-color the object also is not working :-( (I can
re-color thr background not the text)

I'm sorry Mary, but I don't get this message on Pasting-special the Copy as
a wmf.
Here's what I did on a most simple simulation.
Start a new document, clik the WordArt button on the Object toolbar, Click
OK to choose the first Wordt-art style, enter a small text Arial 20 OK, then
the Wordt object appears selected on the page. I choose Copy and Paste
Special (Image Windows Meta file is the first selected in the list, so I
just click OK) and get a normal object (image) copy no warning message. But
this image still doesn't have the ungroup symbol after selecting, I can't
ungroup it! I'm using Pub2003 on XPSP2.

Your nice example is indeed about what I like to do.
I just checked MS Office update: everything is up te date on my PC.
