Outlook 2007 SP1. Why do I get 2 copies of all received emails?
How can I stop this?
Thanks in advance...

Do you have any Rules Wizard rules that might be doing that? Alternately, do
you have two accounts pointing to the same mailbox downloading the same
items?

Vince,

The only rule set is "Clear categories on mail". Should I delete it?

Do NOT have two accounts pointing to the same mailbox downloading the same
emails.

Brian,

Tried your suggestion. There was only one .pst file and now I have no
messages in my inbox!!
I assume that they are gone for good and not retrievable... I might cry!

What exactly did you try? The web page I cited just lists reasons why you
might get duplicates and possible solutions for the problem. It doesn't
contain just one answer. State EXACTLY what you did.

Brian,

Checked my Rules - All OK There.
Checked for Multiple Accounts - All OK There.
Don't sync.
So.... followed the instructions for Profile Recreation for Outlook 2007.

Am still getting duplicates, but not from all senders.

Can I retrieve my old email messages???

Does the same thing happen if you start Outlook in safe mode? Hold Ctrl when
you start Outlook.
Can I retrieve my old email messages???

How did you delete them? Did you look in Deleted Items?
