downloading free trial

[frustrated new Vista user]

Just bought a new PC with Vista and my Office 2000 is not compatable. How
can I download a free trial of Office 2007 without having to deal with all
those ridiculous questions about title, company name, and number of
employees? I am using this at home and it has absolutely nothing to do with
my job, so I don't have answers to these questions and don't feel they should
be forced upon me just to try and or purchase Office 2007.

If your new PC did not already include a 60 day trial copy of Office 2007 (many do) You can download and use a trial edition for 60
days from
http://trymicrosoftoffice.com
Not all of the questions are mandatory

You can also choose to purchase a retail edition of Microsoft Office 2007 and, in the U.S., you may be eligible to apply for a
refund through Microsoft in the first 45 days

Thanks for your reply. But all of the questions I mentioned, as well as my
phone number, are all mandatory, which I feel is wrong. So I will not be

Try Open Office. It's free, is more or less compatible with Office (apart
from the new OOXML files) and there are no questions to answer!
