Downloading images in Outlook

What images / content are blocked by default in Outlook. I am trying to
figure out a simple graphic holiday card for my clients and would like to
make sure it does not have to be downloaded when it reaches outlook. Any
suggestions? what type of image would I use?

Embed the graphic in the message and your recipients should be able to see
it.

Thanks for the quick reply. So can it be a HTML based email? Just embed the
graphic - the entire email will be the graphic. I was curious if I would be
forced to use CSS or XHTML.

Well, you can include words as well, if you want, but more or less, yes.
