Downloading other than a zip or exe file

This is a client computer / browser issue,
not a FrontPage issue.

A link to a text file "should" open myfile.txt
in a viewers "default editor" for files with the
..txt extension.
( depending upon the users security settings )

Steve,

What is the line length setting you're using in OE? All your responses wrap at about 45 characters. It makes for a lot of vertical
scrolling. In OE | Tools | Options | Send | Plain Text Settings

Thanks Steve,

Actually, the file I am uploading is a data base file. I can zip it, upload
it, download the zip. But If I just upload the without zipping, can not
download. Knowing it is not a FP issue solves that search.

Set at 76, but for some reason it wrapped before that. Just reset it and
closed and reopened OE. We'll see where this one goes.

This one is at 76. It defaults to 72 as some older, read as very old, email clients could not handle lines longer that 72 chars.

Thanks for changing it.
