Downloading specific messages

My office uses microsoft outlook to send and receive email. How can I configure each person's email so that they only receive email addressed to them and not all the email on the server. I know how to set up outlook to leave messages on the server based on who they are addressed to, but I want to only download certain mesages from the server based on the email address they are addressed to.

What software is your email server running?

Also is the incoming email addressed to a generic address
([email protected]) or to specific user addresses?

I am not sure what software my server is using. We purchase hosting from another company. The email coming into the company is addressed to individuals such as (e-mail address removed) or (e-mail address removed) or (e-mail address removed).
