downloads for microsoft word at home

my daughter needs this microsoft word at home for school
i don't know exactly what I'm doing. They all say
office. I am on limited funds and was hoping to
download? Can you help me?

If you just need Word and not the other Office apps, the absolutely cheapest
way to get it is as part of Works Suite 2005 (see
http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=001). The
last time I looked Amazon.com was selling it for $89, with free shipping,
and Microsoft is offering a $20 mail-in rebate through January 1, 2006,
which reduces the effective price to $69. In addition to Word 2002, you get
Works, Encarta, Money, PictureIt! Premium, and Streets & Trips.
