dropdown list from query

Can someone help me populate a dropdown list from a query in the database?

This is a family receipe Database on the Web. I'd like a new contributor to
add their name to the database as a contributor through one form. From that
point on, their name should show up in a dropdown list to select whenever
they want to add a new receipe. (I don't want them to type their name each
time...for consistency, (ie: Barbara O'Neil / Barb O'Neil / Barb Baker
O'Neil) . The form to add their name is no problem...but to get a dropdown
box to populate with the contributor's names in the DB is. Pls Help

Thank You. I'll check it out. At first glance it appears to use the
dropdown to display info and I will need it to select and store the
selection. But, will study it and see I can modify it to do that. thank you
again for your help
