Duplicate emails received Outlook 2002 and 2003

Outlook 2003 installed to replace Outlook 2002.

Both versions recieve duplicate E-mails.

Mail is left on pop3 webserver for 3 days so it can be
downloaded by other computers.
The duplicates seem to appear when outlook application is
restarted - it is normally just left running 24/7.

This problem did not occur in Outlook 2000.

This is a common problem judging by all the web posts but
I have not managed to find a satisfactory solution.

Have you tried disabling your firewall already? If the mailserver doesn't
receive te conformation packets it will continue to offer the mails to the
client.
