duplicate mails during download

Hi
I have outlook 2003 (with latest updates). I have setup 5
accounts and are configured to download emails from the
same server - all with different login names and
passwords. The only common thread is the name of the pop3
server.

On a couple of accounts, I get two identical copies of the
same mail. I have tried several things -
1. reconfigured it to NOT leave a copy of the msg on the
server
2. LEave a message but delete it after x days
3. Altered the location of the "culprit" account in the
list of emails being downloaded.

None of these seem to make difference. I have checked with
the ISP and confirmed that only one of the mail is
received from the sender. It appears that the problem is
with the downloading using outlook 2003.

Any suggestions?

thanks

If you are using a antivirus software like Norton you need
to turn off the email protection for a moment and download
the email that seems to be stuck on your internet server.
After you have downloaded your email then go back into
your virus software and turn your email protection back
on. This should take care of your issue. Some of the spam
thats going on has a thread that the virus software
doesn't like and keeps the email from downloading. It
could be the same thing on McAfee but I know it worked on
Norton because i had to do it myself. Jim
