duplicate rows/cells

Hi,

I have a spreadsheet that I update throughout the year. AT the end of the
year, I'd like to see if I've duplicated and cells within a column.
Autofilters is not the way to go because I would need to know what I've
duplicated. My dilemna is that I do not know if I have duplicated
information.

Assume your data is in A1:A1000, in B1 put =COUNTIF($A$1:$A$1000,A1) and then
copy down to B1000. Now in any cell put =MAX(B1:B1000) and if it is more than 1
you have duplicates. Go search for the numbers greater than 1 in Col B or use
autofilter to find them - Those are your dupes.
