Duration - disable?

I am using Project for a non-project use...so I'm not sure if this will make
sense...

I am trying to create equal length durations for all of the task items (so
the bars are the same length on the gantt chart)...and I was wondering if I
could disable the duration from automatically adding.

First of all durations do not add, automatically or otherwise. In
Project the Duration field is the span in working time between the task
Start and finish dates. If you need multiple lines with the same length
Gantt bars simply enter the first task information to get the duration
you want. Then select the Duration column and do a fill down.

Just for reference it sounds like you are simply using Project for the
Gantt graphic. If that's all you need, it would probably be better to
use a graphics application (e.g. Visio) or an application that at least
has more graphics capability (e.g. PowerPoint).
