Dynamic base for Hyperlink

M

Morten Bolstad

I create a Word-document that I'm going to burn to a CD and send to a friend.
The document consists of text and hyperlinks to mp3-files also burned on the
same CD. (When the reader of the document follows the hyperlink, I want the
mp3-file to be played on that computers current mp3-player)
If I write D:\ as the base for the hyperlinks (D: is the station my
CD-reader are assigned to), that won't nessecary work for the receiver of the
CD. When he's running the CD, his station letter may be E: or F:

So how can I make the hyperlinks dynamic in a way that will run when the
burned CD is put in another PC? I want the hyperlink base to point to
"current CD-drive letter"?

Try leaving the Hyperlink Base blank and ensure that all the "linked" files
are in the same directory level on the CD as the Word file (ie. all at the
root, etc.), then there should be no problem.
Hope this helps.
