Can you create an online ecommerce website with Desktop Publishing 2003?

There's no product I know of called "Desktop Publishing 2003". I'll
assume you mean Publisher 2003.

It is possible to create an ecommerce website with Publisher 2003. It's
also possible to swim the English Channel and empty a swimming pool with
a teaspoon. I wouldn't want to try doing any of them. Publisher has no
built-in e-commerce tools, and to add insult to injury has very limited,
inflexible, and uncooperative webdesign tools. I suggest using Microsoft
Expression Web. It will integrate much more easily w

....ith an ecommerce package supported by your host. You'll still need to get
an ecommerce package EW will not do it for you out of the box.

(sorry for finishing your sentence Ed...figured you went out for a bite

I don't disagree with your advice to the OP about using Expression for this
purpose, but I wish you would tell us how you really feel about using
Publisher for web design ;-).

Thanks - I confused Thunderbird and it posted without going into my Sent
Items, so I couldn't copy/paste to complete the message, so had to wait
until it appeared on the group, which it didn't before I'd given up and
gone elsewhere.

Rob,

Unless the OP is really stuck on using only MS software, Serif WebPlus
will allow a user to do an e-commerce site "out of the box." One can use
PayPal, Mal's E-Commerce or Roman Cart. I've also used OSCommerce but it
is not part of the e-commerce wizard (but it is sharp - includes a DB to
track stock!)
