e-mail address in signature

I know that I can put my email address in my signature by
using mailto: followed by my address. Is that a way to do
it without using mailto:? Something in code, maybe?

When you use HTML format and you type an e-mailaddress and press enter or
space (depending if you want to go to the next line or not) it will
automatically creates a mailto link out of it. If this doesn't happen you
can select the word and then Insert-> Hyperlink. Select mailto as type. This
way you can just write your name and make a mailto link out of it. Keep in
mind that this link probably will be removed when the receiver can only
receive plain text e-mails.
