E-mail merge character display

I am creating an e-mail merge using Publisher 2007. The resulting e-mails
show the character  if I put 2 spaces in the original document and í if the
original is í. This occurs with fonts such as Times New Roman.

I am only using trial software so maybe someone could tell me if the same
problem occurs in the full version or if I am doing something odd to make
this occur.

Where are you getting the email addresses? Outlook?

The email addresses are coming from an Excel sheet.

There is no problem with the fields except if there are 2 spaces between
them or the content includes a charachter í. I am guessing at this stage that
other accented characters are affected but haven't tried yet. All other text
that has more than one space between the words generates the  between the
words. For example Margarita Martínez becomes Margarita  Martínez in the
merged e-mail. I am using Outlook Express 6. It appears like an error with
the generated HTML code.

Got a solution I think. Tools - Options - Web -Tick "Send entire publication
page as a single JPEG image..." Not exactly what I want but it will do for
the moment.
