e-mail notification icon in system tray

I have an imap email account setup. Because of how imap
works, this forces Outlook to have two
inboxes, "outlook:inbox"
and "outlook:\\server.ee.byu.edu\Inbox". When I recieve
new email, the new email envelope appears in the system
tray. When I double click on the envelope, it takes me
to "outlook:inbox", not my default
inbox, "outlook:\\server.ee.byu.edu\Inbox". I've searched
outlook help and micrsoft's knowledge base with no
success. Does anyone know how to change this behavior? Is
this a "feature" or a bug?
