e-mail on toolbar

E-mail command on toolbar is greyed out. Can not active command even with
there text. Thank you for any help.

Help with what version? Where is this toolbar supposed to be? A dearth of
information leads to no answers.

Thank you for your prompt response. The version is Microsoft Word 2000. The
e-mail icon on the Word toolbar and it is greyed out. I can not make it live
even w/text. Do you think Windows needs to be reintsalled

Have you first tried resetting the toolbar? What is your default mail
client in control panel->internet options->programs tab?

Thank you, thank you for helping solve my problem. It worked like a charm.
May I pick your brain for another problem? If not I understand.
On my word toolbar I used to have cut, paste and can't redo in black. Now
they are grey although they work when I have text. On the drop down Edit
icon it is not live. Would just like to get it back to the way it was.
