I have the "Remove extra line breaks in plain text messages" setting (under
E-Mail Options -> Message Handling) checked, but in some instances when I
reply to plain text messages and list a URL on a new line, when I look at my
reply in the Sent Items folder, I notice that the URL is not listed on a new
line as intended.
Unchecking the box produces the desired effect. My question is, does this
setting affect what the recipient sees (i.e. the actual format of my reply)
or only what I see on my end. My goal is to ensure that carriage returns
preceding URL's are kept intact in my replies (thus keeping the URL's listed
on a separate line). Is this possible, or will what the recipient sees depend
solely on whether this setting is checked/unchecked on his/her computer?
Many thanks,
