E-mail's lost

I had a problem with my win 98 machine so i got xp pro
and installed it over top of win 98. Well not knowing
that it basically erases all of your programs i opened my
outlook 2000 up and it told me i have to reintall the
program. So i did that, and to my surprise all of my e-
mails were gone. Is there any way to get all of those e-
mails back.

Don't suppose you have a backup of your system from before you made that
change, do you?

If not, you can try searching your system for .PST files. Make sure you
have it configured to also search for/show hidden files & folders.

i have a back up of just the outlook folder, but not the

If you can't find the .PST or .PAB files off the old hard drive then I'm
afraid so. (Short of potentially expensive data recovery options)
