Earned Values are not calculated?

Why does MS Project does not calculate the BCWS and BCWP values of my project
(the value is = 0)?

The tasks have values for duration, work and have resources assigned. I can
insert a progress, but only the EAC, CV and VAC values are calculated.

Any hint is welcome.

Found the answer:
- BEFORE entering any progress it is important to:
- Assure that any resource has a usage cost > 0
- Create a baseline

Doing this after entering progress does not help.
