I am linking JPEGs into the PP slide show. However, the Edit>Links menu is
greyed. I cannot change the links. Any ideas?

How are you linking the JPGs? Edit|Links is for OLE links -- stuff you
inserted using Insert|Object or Edit|Paste Special|Paste Link.

I am inserting black and white JPEG illustrations into the PPT. First method
was: Insert>Picture>From File>Link to File. The Edit>Links is greyed out.
Second method was: Copy (the JPEG)>Paste Special>Paste Link. The Edit>Links
is also greyed out.

Thank you, I did.
1. I am working at a company office - due to security issues, cannot
download any programs, etc. But will forward this info to IT services.
perhaps they will approve the fix.
2. For same reason, cannot send the file or a portion of it, but I
appreciate yr and Echo S help. If possible, I will experiment with the
download at home.
Thanks again.

Right in both cases. Did you read my answer earlier?

Can't seem to locate the "second link" - do you mean the "echosvoice" one?
Thanks

The second link doesn't involve downloading a program; it's just a bit of macro
code you can run from within your own copy of PPT.
