editing a draft

I have been working on this computer for years but I have
never figured out how to EDIT a letter in the Draft
folder, when I click on edit, I get the choices of delete,
copy,select all, mark as read/unread, move, but nothing so
I can actual edit. I would like to add to my letters and
check spelling etc.. anyone know what stupid thing I am
doing now is?

You should be able to edit the draft when you open the item (double click).
The menu you are describing is when you see the draft in the Preview Pane
and press the Edit menu.
