Editing attachments in Outlook 2003

Hi all,

I have recently upgraded form Office XP to 2003 (pro editions) on a
laptop running WinXP. One thing I used to be able to do in Office XP
whcih I miss in 2003 is to be able to edit attachments directly in an
email, then forward it. Now I have to save the attachment to my hard
drive, as they always come up as "Read Only".

Has anyone figured out how to turn this off?
