Editing PP Slides

Is there a way for more than one person to edit a single
PP slide while the slideshow is ongoing?

No.

But if you would like a better/longer answer -- no because the PowerPoint
show is generated by a single instance of PowerPoint running on a single
computer.

If another user, via the network, opens the presentation file that is in use
(editing or presenting), they will get a read-only copy and will not be able
to either save back to the source or affect the presentation.

If you think this is something that PowerPoint needs, then please tell MS
exactly what and why you feel they should:
