I have a POP account, and am using Entourage 11.3.6 from Office 2004. When I
set up the Main Identity, I used my personal email address, then set up my
personal email (with the same address) and my husband's email (a different
address). Now I sometimes get my husband's email in the Main Identity account,
and it hasn't come through to his account although it is addressed to his
account. How can I fix this? Please help.
Thank you so much for including the pertinent info.
Basics: Entourage manages multiple accounts. You don't get a separate Inbox
for each account.
You can use a Rule to manage your mail. You could create a separate Inbox
for each account.
Tools --> Rules
New Rule
Account is xxxx
Move to folder Inbox for account XXX
Or you could use Entourage in separate Users and each person could modify
Entourage for their own use. Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User
in Accounts. Use Fast User Switching to easily go back and forth.
FYI...
There are 3 different kind of rules in Entourage:
Mailing List Manager (MLM)
Junk Mail Filter
Rules (custom rules you create)
They run in the order listed above. The custom rules also run in the order
they are listed. (top runs first)
Use the MLM for all lists. Use rules for the remainder. Try to use
categories instead of individual addresses when possible. When a new address
is added to a contact in the Address Book then it will automatically be
acted on by the rule if you use categories in your rules. See example:

1) POP Rules act on a message ONLY when it first arrives in the Inbox (On My
Computer), NOT when it arrives in any other folder. Once it's moved to
another folder it won't be seen by rules.
2) IMAP Rules are meant to act on a message ONLY when it first arrives in
the IMAP INBOX, not when moved to another IMAP folder.
3) Exchange Rules act on a message ONLY when it first arrives in the
Exchange Inbox.
