Email in Form code

Hi,

Since I am getting massive amounts of spam, I am changing all the email
addresses to escapes - mail etc.

It might help!

But I noticed that in the code side of a FrontPage form, the email address
shows up written normally. I wonder if it is possible to write the address,
using the escape sequences, in the form properties, or to change them in the
code (and still have them work!).

Has anyone tried this, or have any thoughts on it? Or maybe have a better
way?

What happen when you tried to do this?

The only real way to protect your email address is to process the form with a server-side script
where your email address in never on your site.

Have your host install SpamAssasin.
There are both Unix and Windows versions.
Set to filter anything with a score above a 6 or 7 and it will stop spam dead in it's
tracks.
I have standard email addresses in the pages on all of my domains and I get "very little"
spam.

Gee, I would love to have Spam filtered by my ISP. They are now offering
this with a monthly charge, so I might take them up on it if I get siick
enough of he spam - about 70-80 per day (and I am an amateur)

Anyway, does Jimco Spam Spoiler do the job as well as a server-side
application?

I guess it is too late for me as my email adsress must be known to some
spammers and once known they don't give up

SpamAssasin isn't for your ISP, it's for your server and it filters spam for your domain
email addresses.
( unless your ISP and your host are the same )

Your parenthesised comment is true.

The host is my ISP, and I received a message from them offering a spam
control service, so I guess they have it installed on the host server.
Whether it is SpamAssasin (or as good as it), I don't know.
