whenever I sent out my resume as an attachment, the receiver gets the version
showing all changes I have made to it in red. I have tried turning OFF the
tracking function but they still receive it.

In Outlook, change the setting Tools->Options->Email Options->Advanced Email
Options. Uncheck the option to "add properties to attachments to enable
Reply With Changes."

If you are just turning off "Track Changes" all that does is prevent
new revisions from being made in the document. All of the old
revisions are still there.

In order to remove all revisions you need to use the "Accept All
Changes" or "Reject All Changes" on the Reviewing toolbar. If in doubt
of the removal, make sure you are seeing the "Final showing Markup"
view, press Ctrl + Home to move to the top of the document and then
click Next command on the Reviewing toolbar. If all revisions are
removed you should receive a message along the lines of "The document
contains no comments or tracked changes".

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
