emails dissapear when 6 days old

[GRANT]

All of the emails in my inbox are disappearing after 6
days. they are not moved to the recycle bin nor moved to
an archive dir. they are just gone. autoarchive is setup
to run every thirty days and to move the emails to the
archive directory. however emails dissapear every morning
when i start up outlook.
this only affects my inbox. if i remember to manually move
the email to a directory then it stays.
can you think of any settings that i am missing. or any
other ideas?

Have you checked your view? Maybe you defined or customized a view that
won't show messages more than 6 days old.
