"embed font" in powerpoint as default

Hello,
I'd like to set the Embed True Type font as the default option.
I regularly uses a specific font but don't want to enable the option every
time I save a document. Why is this only possible to save this setting per
document ?

Probably because it can have a significant effect on the saved file size and I'm
just guessing that MS decided that it would be best to require that it be
explicitly set at the file level. If you go to Tools > Options > Save and set
it to Embed Fonts, that setting will be saved with the file. Thereafter the
fonts will be embedded each time you save that file.

Yes, thanks for your fast reply. You're right.
But this is annoying if I have to do this with every single new ppt I create.
Is there a Registry key that could allow me to bypass this setting, and
enable this once for all ?

Not sure if this will work or not, but have you tried embedding the font in
the template our new presentations are based on? (That might even be
blank.POT or blank presentation.POT )

I think you can embed fonts in templates in PPT 2002 and 2003, but you
cannot in 97 and 2000. Or maybe that was introduced just in 2003? Can't
remember for sure, sorry, but it's probably worth a try, anyway.
