How can I embed a video clip in a powerpoint presentation
so that I don't need to bring the seperate video with me
to show? All I can get right now is embbeding a link to a
file on my hard drive, so that when I save my presentation
and show it on another computer, the video cannot be found.

Videos are always linked. The trick is in where they are when you link
them. Put them in the same folder as the presentation and *then* link them.
Just putting them in the same folder will not do the trick.
