Embedding data

I am using microsoft office professional 2003 and completed a task to embed
data from excel to word. Using the paste special in word a screen opens up
for me to select (Microsoft Excel worksheet object). After clicking onto
this, the process is complete, but all I get to see is text in { } which says
{EMBED Excel.Sheet.8} but the actual table I cannot see except by clicking
onto the file menu and selecting print preview. I cannot work on a table that
I cannot see, so If any one can help with this problem please do so and Thank
you very much.

Press Alt+F9 to toggle off display of field codes.

when selecting paste special and the new screen appears, select
picture(enhanced Metafile) instead of Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object. this
gave me the full view of the table.

I've found the solution to my problem. Going to the menu tools and options,
and click onto view, and then untick the boxes field codes and picture
placeholders.
