Embedding music into a presentation

I need to embed an mp3 file into a presentation so I can email it. I have
gone to Tools-Options-General and I have changed "Link file sizes great
than...kb" to 50000kb. But the mp3 won't stay with the presentation. What
am I forgetting to do? Can I embed mp3 files or do I need to convert it? If
I need to convert it, how do I do that? I'm using PPT 2002.

You cannot embed MP3 files. WAV files are the only types of sounds that can
be embedded. You can use a sound editing program to convert it. However,
you might not need to embed it. Check out "Sounds/Movies don't play, images
disappear or links break when I move or email a presentation" from the PPT
FAQ:

If you really want to convert the sound, you might check out "Sound Editors"
from the PPT FAQ:
