Empty from field when composing!

hi,
although pretty used to Outlook I can't resolve this one.
Everytime I compose a new email I have to manually fill
in my name in the From field or else it's empty and the
email server won't accept it...
I cannot find where to tell Outlook to always use my name
& email (I am in my own contact list for Outlook to use)?
