Empty Project Work Area

I'm using Project Pro 2003 and whenever I open the program (Either by
starting Project or opening an existing Project file) all I see is an empty
work area with a small square box in the top left corner with a red "x" in
the middle. This error recently started after I upgraded from 2002 to 2003
when the errors started. I'm running it on a Windows XP machine with all the
latest updates. Any help is appreciated.

Did you Uninstall P2K2 before you installed P2K3? Not doing so can cause
problems.

No, I didn't uninstall first, just upgraded.
