enlarging pictures over 2 pages

I want to enlarge a picture from one page to over 2 pages
[landscape.]Then I plan to print both pages and manually join them
together [I need A3 size.] However when I try to do it the enlarged
section disappears off the bottom of the first page, not appearing on
the 2nd page at all. Have tried
Format/Picture/Layout/Advanced/PicturePosition but Pisture Position
window is not active [ie: grey buttons] Am using word 02.
Can anyone help please. Thanks MM.

The best you can do in Word is to insert the picture twice, extending off
the page in each case (or cropped to fit the page). Publisher does allow you
to tile pages over two or more sheets of paper.
