Enterprise Project Outline Codes

Can someone please help me with my project level outline codes.

We are a door company and have many projects and we would like to organize
them by the kind of door we make (Thermal Fuse or Stile/Rail) and then by
which month we plan on shipping the doors based on a date that was assigned
by MS Project.

I have tried to set up my outline codes to do this but for some reason it
will not work. Sometimes Thermal Fuse doors show up under Stile and Rail
doors and vise versa and sometimes show up in the wrong month.

Can anyone help me with this.

Are you using Project Pro 2003 SP1? Hopefully yes, because there were some
problems with Enterprise Outline Codes earlier.
