Entourage 2004 (Mac)-Can't stop messages going to "Sent Items" fol

R

RogerR

I upgraded from Office X to Office 2004. The new Entourage has several
seeming "bugs". One that I found is that copies of all my e-mails go to the
"Sent items" folder whether or not I check the "Save Copies of Sent
Messages..." in the Preferences -> Mail & News Preferences -> Compose panel.

How can I stop Entourage from saving the messages? If that's not possible,
is there a way to automatically delete them on Quitting? (Yes, I know I can
make up a rule to move them all to the Deleted Items folder, but I'd rather
the check box work as it should so it can be easily turned on for a project
and off when not needed.)

Thanks.

Thanks, Bob. I didn't know about the newsgroups. In fact, there is a
solution there.

To save others the trouble of searching:

use Tools -> Schedules to create a new schedule item. The item is to move
things from "Sent " to "Deleted". As part of the schedule, you can also say
to move only items older than x days or move them every time you Quit or
Start entourage.

Thanks for the pointer!
