Entries in the Forms sorting does not sort them all, just some...

When I try to sort the entries in the Forms tool it sorts them somewhat
partially, in several strings of sorted entries, as if they were in different
folders. I have 400 entries and what I get is a the series of groups
(normally 4-5 of them) within each of which the entries are sorted. But the
whole sorted list is still not generated.

Rustam
sorting has not given us any issues - if you could share more info i could
help - have you created groups or are there child records in the form / view

if you can replicate this in a flat form (no subforms) one view then it is a
bug and should be pasted to the thread i have created for this purpose, so it
get addressed by MS

Well, I will try...
I created a form tool. In it I have indexed all the content of a File tool.
I have more than 400 emtries in it. The list of index entries has the
following titles:
title, link (to the doc itself in the Files tool) organization, author name
etc.
In theory if I click the title bar it should sort it alphabetically in the
title column. And it does, but in some strange groups - not defined by me -
within which the entries are sorted, but then it breaks and start over again,
and so several times over. I tried to determine if there are any other common
features by which the list is sub-sorted and failed. Basically the sorting
function does not work.
May be I am missing something in the form design?

All!
I think I found the problem with sorting: I was setting the sorting
Hierarchically instead of Flat in the "Sort Type" drop-down list of options,
M"Modify View" - Basics" - "Fields to view" - "Column properties" - "Sorts".
As soon as I changed the sort type to "Flat" it started sorting everything
neatly in alphabetical order.
Probably the Flat type of sorting should be made default? I am sure I am not
the first one to face this problem.
All the best!
