Lance
I have been looking at various project management software
for a long time now. I had to look around and make
recommendations on what we should investigate further. I
narrorwed it down to the two mentioned. I then had an
evaluation version of e-project and am now trying to
evaluate MS Project. While I don't have a side by side
comparison or know exactly where one can be located from
my experience I prefer eproject. We have had several
problems just using the evaluation of MS Project Server.
While Project seems fine, connecting with Server seems to
have been a painful process (sorry to anyone who loves
it). I dread having to implement it and even with our IT
bods here fully expect we will need Microsoft Certified
people to come in to make it function properly and create
custom features we need. Eproject seemed a more
integrated tool (being all web based) along with easier to
self customise and easier to get assitance with.
One place I can suggest that may help you though is:
http://www.project-management-software.org
It has links to most Project Management software. Some
companies have links to various whitepapers which give
analysis of different systems. One such example is

l.
Hope this helps.
