equation editor in home use edition

How do I enable the equation editor in Office 2003 Professional for Home Use?
I have tried the Add/Change programs technique in several different ways.
Even though it says that the program has been updated, there is no equation
editor available.

Yes, I tried Insert->Object. I see lots of Microsoft (and other) objects,
but no
equation editor there.

Thanks for the thought.

The Home Use edition talks about enabling a slightly disabled version, and I
don't know if the equation editor is disabled in this edition.

Hi,

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Equation

This is the path for Equation editor and u will find equation editor in the
equation folder....filename was "EQNEDT32.EXE"

if there is no Equation editor in u r system..try to Installa again and
choose...Custom Installation in that...choose run from my system....this is
because..if u go with Typical it install..it installs main features and when
u want to use features like Equation editor...etc...u need to install this
feature again with the Office CD...

Thanks,
Chander.
