Equation Editor problem with toolbar launch

Whenever I launch the Equation editor from the toolbar, I
am told that it cannot find the application "Equation" to
create the object. However, the file is there, and I can
launch it from the Insert -> Object menu. Thanks.

Two things I'd suggest you check:

1. If you're running Norton Antivirus, disable the Office Plug-in
& reboot.

2. If that doesn't work, remove the EE icon from the toolbar &
close Word. Reopen Word & put the icon back.

(Be sure if you write back to mention the version of Windows and
Word you're using.)

The computer that is being used has Windows XP and Office
XP. I tried doing what you suggested, and it does not
work.
